"I am seeking re-election to continue serving as a steady voice for Wallingford. I have worked to hold government accountable and focus attention on the issues that matter. I want to see Wallingford become a more vibrant, welcoming, and forward-looking community. I am proud of the groundwork we have laid, and I want to build on that progress to help move our town forward in a more deliberate way… Looking ahead, I intend to be assertive on several priorities including long-term infrastructure, park enhancements, downtown revitalization, the 2026 Plan of Conservation and Development, and, of course, all things related to our town’s school system. These are areas where strong leadership is needed."
Sam Carmody is seeking his third term on Town Council, having first been elected in 2021. A Wallingford native, Sam hit the ground running and immediately established himself as one of the most thoughtful and focused members of the Council. In addition to serving as the Registrar of Voters and on the Wallingford Zoning Board of Appeals, Sam has held countless positions in Wallingford over the last two decades, serving on various boards, commissions, and nonprofits. In addition to his volunteer roles, Sam has also dedicated much of his career to public service at the federal, state, and local levels, highlighted by key roles in the offices of Rosa DeLauro and Susan Bysiewicz. Few elected officials in Wallingford can boast the kind of support Sam has–transcending generations and political affiliations–because no one can match his commitment to Wallingford and the energy he brings on a daily basis. We could not be more excited to endorse Sam Carmody for another term on the Town Council, and we hope you will join us in voting for him on November 4th!
